SAFETY REGULATIONS

Please read the following terms and conditions:

  • Prevent fire: please smoke on the hotel’s terrace, 5 meters from the entrance. It is strictly forbidden to cover the smoke detectors in the room, so it is not possible to smoke electric cigarettes. Smoking is allowed on the balcony of the Gold Apartments.
  • It is strictly prohibited to bring explosives, flammable materials, or chemicals onto the hotel and apartment building area!
  • Your safety: please always turn off electrical appliances and take your key card /key with you when leaving the room / apartment.
  • In case of emergency, please call reception by dialing 0.
  • In case of a fire alarm, please leave the building immediately and follow the escape route posted on your room door. It is forbidden to use the elevator during a fire alarm.

We are not responsible for valuables or cash left in the room, apartment, or parked car, please:

  • Always keep the front door closed, close all windows and doors when leaving.
  • Use the in-room safe for storing your valuables, which is free of charge.
  • Do not leave your valuables unattended in your car in the parking lot or in the hotel/apartment building area.

ACCESSIBILITY 

The reception is accessible through a wheelchair ramp located in front of the entrance. The hotel provides elevator access for internal mobility. Upon request, we can provide extra grab bars and shower chairs. The hotel’s common areas are suitable for wheelchair use. We do not have a room specifically for wheelchairs. The apartments can be reached by stairs only.

AIR CONDITIONING, HEATING 

Our hotel rooms are heated in winter and air-conditioned in summer. The cooling and heating can be regulated individually by our guests. Usage:

– Make sure all windows are fully closed and the key card is in the power switch box.

– Turn on the thermostat with the power button.

– The temperature can be changed with the + / – signs.

Gold Hotel Budapest is a green hotel, you can choose a maximum of 22 degrees in winter and a minimum of 24 degrees in summer.

Gold Apartments’ heating can be adjusted individually with a thermostat. Air conditioning can be rented for 10 Euros per night.

AIRPORT AND FLIGHT INFORMATION

The travel time between our hotel and Budapest Liszt Ferenc International Airport is approximately 30 minutes. Please allow sufficient time for travel, including peak traffic hours, weather conditions, holidays, and events. In case of accidents, traffic may come to a halt, so it is recommended to leave for the airport 1-2 hours earlier. Our reception staff are happy to assist you with flight information and transfer reservations.

BABY EQUIPMENT, CHILDREN

High chair, baby crib, bottle sterilizer are available, please request them at least 24 hours in advance. Continuous supervision of children under 18 is mandatory.

BANK CARDS / CREDIT CARDS / CASH 

We accept the following credit cards: VISA, Mastercard, Maestro, SZÉP card (OTP, K&H, MKB). The credit card can be charged in Hungarian Forint, and the mark-up is determined by the POS provider. We also accept cash payments.

BATHROBE, SLIPPERS 

We provide bathrobe and slippers upon request, they can be used inside your hotel room / apartment only.

 

BATHROOM CHAIR, NON-SLIP MAT 

Upon request, we provide a smaller-sized bathroom chair and non-slip mat for the bathroom.

BEDSIDE 

A washable bed pad can be requested at the reception desk.

BICYCLE 

Bicycle storage is on the back terrace. Push your bike up the entrance ramp and turn left on the terrace all around the hotel to find the bicycle park.

BREAKFAST 

We offer buffet breakfast in our restaurant daily between 7:00-10:00 am.

Breakfast package can be requested min. 24 hours before departure.

Our breakfast selection can be viewed in the Gastronomy menu.

BUSINESS CENTER 

Our business center is equipped with a printer, computer, and internet connection. It is located next to the restaurant.

CHECK-IN AND CHECK-OUT 

Check-in: from 2:00 PM

Check-out: until 11:00 AM

Early check-in and late check-out are subject to availability. Please contact our receptionists on the previous day for more information.

Registration of all guests is mandatory.

Free cancellation is possible min. 72 hours in advance, but this may vary depending on your resevation type, so please check your booking confirmation.

CLEANING AND LINEN CHANGE


The decorative bedspread also protects your bed linen. If you don’t need it, please place it on top of the wardrobe.

The hotel rooms in the main building are cleaned daily between 9:00 and 14:00. If you do not request daily cleaning, please put the “Do not disturb” sign on the doorknob. Bed linen is changed every 3 days. If you require it, we also provide the opportunity to change the bed linen daily for an additional fee. Please indicate your request at the reception.

Residents of Gold Apartments receive free weekly cleaning from 9:00 a.m. to 14:00. If you require it, we provide the possibility of daily cleaning for an additional fee, please indicate your request at the reception. Daily cleaning fee: 15 Euro/occasion. Towel change fee: 5 Euro/occasion.

CONFERENCE ROOM, MEETING ROOM

We are happy to recommend our meeting room for corporate and private gatherings of up to 15 people, our conference room is comfortable for up to 25 people. You can find more information here.

COPYING, PRINTING 

We can print documents at the reception for an additional fee. You can also use our self-service printer in the Business Center.

DAMAGE, COMPENSATION 

Please use all equipment as intended. If damage occurs, we can request compensation for the damage caused.

Violation of the hotel policy, such as smoking in the room, or in the apartment will cost 100 Euros.

It is forbidden to take room equipment, accessories, towels and pillows out of the room or apartment! If you need extra cleaning, please contact the reception.

DOCTOR 

Please contact the reception 24/7, or dial ‘0’. Ambulance: 104.

DRINK BAR / LOBBY BAR

The drink bar is open every day from 7:00 to 22:00 o’clock in the hall.

DRINK SERVICE ON THE TERRACE AND LOBBY

Upon request, we serve cold and hot drinks on the hotel terrace and in the lobby. You can find our current drinks menu on the table and at the bar counter. Beverage service is available between 7:00 am to 22:00. Please settle your bill before check-out.

ELECTRICITY 

The electrical current is 220V/50Hz. We kindly ask you to use the bathroom socket only for electric razors and hair dryers. Please use other electrical appliances through the sockets in the room.

EMERGENCY EXIT 

The emergency exit of the hotel building is located at the reception, the escape route posted on the doors of the rooms shows its exact location.

FIRE SAFETY 

Prevent fires: please refrain from using your own electrical appliances (such as coffee makers, immersion heaters, irons, etc.) in the room. Fire alarms and powder extinguishers are installed in the building, and smoke detectors are located in each room, apartment. In case of fire, our guests are warned by a siren. In such a case, please leave the building according to the escape route posted in the rooms. It is forbidden to use the elevator during a fire alarm! Please remember to turn off all electrical appliances before leaving the room.

Do not cover the smoke detectors, smoking (including e-cigarettes) is prohibited in the rooms. It is also prohibited to bring explosives, flammable materials or chemicals onto the hotel premises and apartment building. Fire department: 105.

HAIRDRYER

The bathrooms are equipped with a hairdryer. To operate it, please insert your room key card into the power switch. To use the hairdryer:

  • turn on the power switch on the wall-mounted unit
  • press and hold the hairdryer’s button to use

HOLIDAYS

Official public holidays: January 1st, March 15th, Good Friday and Easter Monday, May 1st, Whit Monday, August 20th, October 23rd, November 1st, December 25-26.

HOTEL POLICY, APARTMENT POLICY

The HOTEL POLICY or the APARTMENT POLICY can be found on the door of your hotelroom, or on the wall of your apartment. The rules are accepted upon check-in. Please follow the rules listed in the policy. If you have any questions, please contact the reception.

INFORMATION BOOKLETES, TOURS, TICKETS

You can find our information booklets at the reception, including maps, city sightseeing programs, tours, boat trips, folklore programs, etc. Tickets are available at the reception as well.

INTERNET

We provide our hotel guests with a secure internet connection, free and unlimited WIFI access.

The password for the wireless network is changed regularly and can only be given to hotel guests. Please ask our receptionist for the current password.

To protect your personal information, please remember to log out of your accounts when you finish using the internet. The hotel is not responsible for any misuse of your information.

Please be advised that hacking or attempting to hack any smart devices is considered a criminal offense.

KEY CARD

The key card is used to unlock the hotel room and to operate the electricity in the room. After unlocking the room, please insert the key card into the power switch box next to the door. When leaving the hotel, please return the key to the reception or drop it in the self check-out box. In case of loss, we charge 5 Euros per card.

LAUNDRY, IRONING, AND DRY CLEANING

Upon request, we provide laundry, ironing, and dry cleaning services for our guests for an additional fee. You can find a laundry bag and a pre-priced laundry list in the wardrobe to assist with laundry drop-off. Please bring the filled form and bag to the reception. If you need an additional bag, please request it at the reception.

The service is available from Monday to Friday, with laundry drop-off by 9:00 a.m. and a minimum 24-hour turnaround time.

Our one-hour ironing service is available on weekdays from 9:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.

We cannot handle sensitive materials. You can rent an iron and ironing board at the reception. Please take care of the equipment and unplug the iron after use.

We use an external company for dry cleaning, and the cost and time required depend on the service provider. We charge an additional 15 euros for delivery.

LIBRARY

We warmly welcome our book-loving guests to our library located next to the restaurant. You can comfortably browse our selection of books in our relaxation area. Books can be borrowed and we kindly ask you to return them before your departure.

LOST AND FOUND

Please turn to our colleagues if you have left something here. We do not keep any food that has been left behind.

LUGGAGE RACK

Our luggage rack can be found in the room.

LUGGAGE STORAGE /ASSISTANCE

Please contact our colleagues if you need assistance or would like to leave your luggage after check-out.

MINI-BAR

We refill the minibar daily and the consumption will be charged to your room bill. Please settle your bill at the reception latest upon check-out. The pricelist can be found above the minibar on the shelf.

NETWORK ADAPTER / CHARGING STATION

International power adapters as well as various adapters and cables for charging different electrical devices are available at the reception desk.

NOISE, EARPLUGS

Our hotel rooms are protected from external noise by triple-thick glass. Although external noise cannot penetrate closed windows, the concrete slab carries sounds, so you may hear your neighbors in the room. That is why our hotel enforces a silence policy between 22:00 and 7:00. Please report to our reception desk if someone violates the policy and disturbs your rest. Our reception staff will immediately take action to restore your peace. Earplugs are available at our reception desk at any time.

PARKING LOT

We have a parking lot in the back courtyard of the hotel. The parking fee is 15 Euro / vehicle / night. Please do not leave your car on the red lines. We are not responsible for valuables left in the parked vehicles, or for damages caused by others in the parked vehicles.

PETS

Pets such as dogs and cats are allowed in our hotel for an additional fee. The pet fee is 15 Euro per pet per night, and a leash and muzzle are required. Please do not leave your pet unattended.

PILLOW MENU AND EXTRA BLANKET

For your maximum comfort, in addition to the pillows and duvets in your room, we offer a variety of other pillows and blankets at our hotel rooms and apartments. Our pillow menu includes feather, fluff, bamboo, memory and side sleeper pillows.

Please let our reception colleagues know if you need an extra pillow or extra blanket. Ask for our pillow menu and choose the one that suits you best.

Request anti-allergenic bedding at least 48 hours before your arrival.

PLAYROOM

The playroom is located next to the restaurant and can only be used with parental supervision.

POSTAL PACKAGES AND MESSAGES

We receive and forward postal packages and messages to our guests at the reception of our hotel.

RECREATION AND GARDEN

Relax in our garden and on our terraces after a long day. We offer foosball, minigolf, and bowling sets. We also recommend the services of Mass Fitness Center located nearby.

You can rent at the reception: bathrobe, slippers, beach towel, extra pillow, extra blanket, washable rug, bathroom chair, non-slip mat, baby products, recreational games, iron + ironing board, luggage cart, charging cables, adapters, kettle and notebook.

We are not responsible for any valuables left in the room, apartment. Please always keep the entrance door locked.

Please settle your bill in time in case of self-check-out!

Drop your key into the self-checkout box placed at the reception upon check-out.

SEWING KIT 

Sewing kit can be requested at the reception.

SHOE CLEANING

Shoe cleaning machine is located in the lobby. A shoe cleaning kit and a shoehorn can be found in the room, or can be requested at the reception.

If needed – for an additional fee – we can take care of cleaning your shoes, please notify the reception if you require this service.

SMOKING, ELECTRONIC CIGARETTES

Smoking is prohibited in hotel rooms and apartments, including windows and ledges. Due to the smoke detectors, electric cigarettes cannot be used in the room either, covering the smoke detectors is strictly prohibited. You can smoke on the hotel’s terrace, 5 meters from the entrances. Smoking is allowed on the balcony of the apartments. Smoking in the room and in the apartment is a violation of the hotel policy, which entails an obligation to compensate.

TECHNICAL MALFUNCTION

If you notice any technical issues, broken equipment, or burnt-out light bulbs on our hotel premises, please report it to the reception or dial ‘0’ as soon as possible. Thank you for your cooperation!

TOILETRIES

Shampoo, shower gel, cotton pads, ear cleaners, shower cap and paper ti ssues are available in the bathroom. At the reception, we can provide a toothbrush, toothpaste, razor, body lotion, intimate pad, and earplugs upon request.

TOWEL

As a green hotel, we strive to reduce our environmental impact and kindly ask for your cooperation. Please be mindful of your towel usage and use them appropriately. A shoe cleaning kit, makeup remover pads, and tissues are provided in the bathroom drawer. It is not allowed to take towels out of the room! If you plan to visit the pool or spa, please choose from our beach towels at the reception.

Towels are changed with daily cleaning between 9:00 a.m. and 2:00 p.m.

TRANSFER

We provide fixed-price transfers to and from the airport. Please indicate your need for a taxi transfer 24 hours in advance at the reception or fill out our online form here.

UMBRELLA 

An umbrella can be requested at the reception.

WAKE-UP CALL 

We kindly ask you to inform the reception if you have any requests regarding wake-up calls.

WASTE MANAGEMENT, TRASH

We appreciate your participation in our selective waste collection program, for which you can find a bag in the closet. If you need an extra bag, please inform the reception.
